I am David Ash—an author, musician, quantum vortex physicist, mystic scientist, and nutritionist. My work spans a range of disciplines, blending science and spirituality in unique ways.
Born in Kent, England, in 1948, my journey into the realm of science began in 1968 when I started developing the vortex theory at Queen’s University of Belfast. I continued my studies at Queen Elizabeth College, London University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972, followed by a postgraduate certificate in physics education from Exeter University in 1974.
On January 15th, 1975, I had the honour of presenting my new vortex theory at the historic amphitheatre of the Royal Institution of Great Britain. This moment marked the beginning of a lifelong exploration into the relationship between science and spirituality. In 1990, I published The Vortex: Key to Future Science with Peter Hewitt, laying the groundwork for my later work.
Following an international lecture tour from 1991 to 1994, the College of Psychic Studies in London published my complete vortex theory in The New Science of the Spirit, which included a prediction of the universe's accelerating expansion—a discovery later verified by Saul Perlmutter, who received the Nobel Prize in 2011.
To date, I have authored ten books on quantum vortex physics and have written over 50 songs, predominantly of a spiritual nature. My musical journey began in 1968, collaborating with my brothers, and our family’s story was documented by Westward TV (Plymouth) in 1972 in a programme titled Summer of the Ash Family, which you can find on YouTube.
My passion for understanding the universe was ignited at the age of 16 when I discovered the key to how energy spins to form mass in a book on ancient Yogi philosophy. For the past 60 years, I have devoted my life to explaining various aspects of physics through this profound revelation. This insight has allowed me to tackle significant challenges in quantum mechanics and provide a scientific basis for mystical and spiritual beliefs, including concepts of reincarnation and near-death experiences.
In addition to my writing, I have developed a new form of multifaith meditation, inspired by music and the Sacred Sabais from Thailand. Currently, my songs are being recorded and produced by Duncan Bridgeman in Bristol, and I regularly share my ongoing essays, recordings, and meditations on this website.
The discovery of the quantum vortex as a unique form of energy, separate from waves, has the potential to ignite a scientific revolution. The bridge this creates between science and spirituality is unparalleled in history, promising to transform our understanding of both fields. Connect with me for more information.
